10.3 crashing trying to do Check in on close with Visual studio

I've done a re-install and a repair, but I get a crash in module tcCommonPanels.pls.  It happens as soon as the check in panel appears on the screen.



You can do a standard check in via the source control menu and it is fine.  I sent the crash report a few times via the crash handler.. 10.2 worked fine so I'm not sure about what in the upgrade process broke it..
