I have been trying to get the syntax for X-Path to use in assertions. I had given the following in X-Path expression (basically trying it for sample screen shots on smartbear site) declare names...

I declared the namespace as you had suggested - your sample looks the same as in my original post.
It simply keeps appending the two strings (from the two lines) including quotes ' and ;.
And also in the reponse can i specify value of my node like 1.
Or do I need to have a namespace declaration again.
