The JAVA_HOME environment variable is not defined correctly

Question

I have installed soapui and when I try to click on generate i get an error

The JAVA_HOME environment variable is not defined correctly
This environment variable is needed to run this program
NB: JAVA_HOME should point to a JDK/JRE

I have my java_home as C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin

any help will be appreciated.

first confirm the JAVA_HOME is properly set in the PATH.
