SoapUI Plugin Development still available?

Hello,

I was interested in playing around with the plug-in/extensions API, but I could not seem to generate the Maven archetype project.

Are open source soap UI plug in still developable and supported on 5.7.2?

Without the archetype is there a way to create a manual project?
