SoapUI Eclipse Plug-in Unsigned

Is there a reason the Eclipse plug-in is unsigned? I'm wanting to try it out, but I get a scary warning from Eclipse. I know 3rd-party certificates can be expensive, but could this plug-in at least be self-signed?
