Hi I am using same connection string as you can see in my attached screenshot i.e "jdbc:oracle:thin:@localhost:1521:xe","system","root" 

but it did not work and I have removed ojdbc14.jar from lib but still same issue

your screen shot is missing a double quotes in the beginning.

      Are you able to connect to the data base using the same connection details using other clients such as sqlplus / sql developer etc?

        @nmrao yes I am able to connect by Oracle10g localhost configuration and able to establish connection through java code database connection using same connection string
