SoapUI 5.2.1 assertions taking a long time to save

I am currently creating test steps with SoapUI 5.2.1 on Windows 8.1 that have in the region of 16 assertion, including a number of JSONPath based assertions, but when I come to edit any of the assert...

Is the problem noticed only for assertions or every operation that you perform? What is the max heap size allocated for soapUI? Try increasing it. Also what is project file size, too big?

    The issue is primarily with assertions, in particular saving and testing them. I have upped the heap size to 2048m and the time taken is now about 10 seconds. The file size is only 200kb.

      Ok at least good that the time is drastically moved down.
