reviewing pro version for Company, questions please help
I'm reviewing SoapUI Pro for multiple users within my company, but I'm having troubles with a few items. If possible, it would be great if someone could give me some feedback on the questions below. We like what we see, and it seems it does almost everything we need. If we could get these items (below) worked out, we should easily be new customers. Thank you for your help!
1. SoapUI easily lets me right click and "Insert File as Base64", into my web service request, which is great by the way. However, I'm looking for a way to do automated testing using a Directory data source of files that need to be base64 inserted. I've searched everywhere, but can't figure out how to do this. When I use File or Directory datasource, it doesn't base64 encode my files/images. Is it possible to do this? If so, how?
2. When using Excel as a DataSink, it seems there must be a buffer or limit on the field length transfer into Excel. My output includes some very long fields (base64 encoded images), and it seems I only get the first portion of the field going into the Excel DataSink. Is there indeed a limit on this? Will this ever be expanded, or is there a workaround?
3. When using a Datasource, I ultimately need to use two images (as a pair) in my web service call. I can use two different Directory Datasources, but this doesn't seem to ensure my images stay in pairs. How does SoapUI choose the order of files from a Directory Datasource? Maybe if I understood this, I could ensure they stay in pairs. If you have a better idea how to do this, please let me know.
Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for helping us to move forward with SoapUI Pro!
