Has the intellij plugin been upgraded to 2.5 functionality (guess: no)? Does it work with idea 7.0.4? 8.0? (guess: depends on what "it" is) Can I import a soapui pro project? (guess: no).

yes, the integrated soapUI installer in IDEA 8.X (in the Tools/Web Services menu) should install the 2.5 version!?
You can import soapUI Pro projects, but pro-related artifacts (teststeps, etc..) will not be visible.
