Integration of SoapUI with Mainframe DB2

Hi,I am working on automating the validation of a soap response by comparing it with data from the mainframe. Is there a way to integrate the two,
secondly, In another scenario i need to run some started task also so that my data will get updated in different table. I dont understand how to do it.
Can you please advise on this or any other way of achieving the desired result? We are using SoapUI Pro 4.5.0 version.
I am new to Soap Ui and a fresher in coding background.
