How can we pick external value in text media type

Hi All
I am using soap UI 5.4 . In my project we have rest API with text media type. I want to pick one external property value but not able to fetch the value as it is text type

    How come you are not able to pick an external value? Can you upload a print screen or explain it a little bit more so we can understand the issue?
