Wierd Mac mouse issue

I'm using SOAPUI 4.6.0 on Mac OS X 10.8.5, a few days ago I started getting a strange issue, (I don't recall any software updates immediately preceding this).

What happens is this, and it only seems to happen on SOAPUI, not on other apps. When I click on something, it actually clicks about a centimetre lower on the screen directly below where I click, so if I click in the navigator it clicks the item two below the one I click over. If I want to close a request window I have to click near the toolbar etc.

Of course having said this I clicked on it to check something and it started working normally, so I closed the app and reopened it and the issue recurred.

Does anyone have any clue what might be going on?

TIA

  • Strange! I've heard about this problem but have never seen it, although I'm a Mac user. I recall that someone said that it's related to the runtime being confused by resolutions of Retina displays - do you have a Retina screen?

If this is the cause, you should upgrade to the upcoming 4.6.1 release of SoapUI, in which the runtime comes with Retina support.

  • The easiest way to get rid of this offset problem is to use the zoom window button (green +) on SoapUI's main window. The offset will be adjusted correctly when the window is resized.
This will have to be done every time you restart SoapUI, but if you change the resolution of the display in System Preferences -> Displays/Built-in Retina Display, to the 2nd from the right you will always get the correct offset.
