Where does SoapUI save files to?

Hi support,

we will switch to Windows 7 soon and it was told to me, that by default applications are not allowed to save data into the progams folder after installation.

So my question is: Where may soapUI (GUI and testrunner.bat) save files? Only in my profile folder or anywhere else too?

    Hi,

    When installing soapUI by default you'll be offered to install to Program Files/ eviware, but this can be changed.
    When you start soapUI it will use soapui.log, soapui-errors.log and soapui-settings.xml from your user home directory. By default workspace location is also user home directory but can be changed (File/ Switch Workspace option). Locations for saving projects you need to specify yourself without limitations.

    Do I understand you right?: soapUI by default does not write any data to C:\ or C:\Program Files after installation?

    Yes, that is correct, soapUI should not write anything to the installation directory after installation.
