WADL error upon loading SoapUI 3.6.1

This java error is displayed upon trying to create a new REST project from a WADL created in a
Peoplesoft application:

java.lang.Exception: Document is not a WADL application with http://wadl.dev.java.net/2009/02 namespace

After working many years with WSDLs and never having a problem, I am really lost as to where to proceed.
Any help will be appreciated.

First ... consider upgrading your SoapUI. 4.6 series is out, and 5 is about to be released, if not already out.

Second ... claiming an error, with no steps to reproduce will make it a very long guessing game. Can you provide a public URL with your WADL? Can you provide the WADL itself?

I found the answer by reviewing the documented Peoplesoft bugs in Oracle Customer Support:

E-IB: PeopleSoft-generated WADL for REST-Based Services Gets Namespace from Service Configuration instead of "http://wadl.dev.java.net/2009/02", and Namespace from that Service's Definition is Ignored (Doc ID 1498119.1)

This error is in Peopletools 8.52 and corrected in Peopletools 8.53.
There is a viable workaround for 8.52 within the document specified.
