Three annoyances - please fix!

Hi SmartBear,
I am using soapUI a lot and there are a few tiny things that I find really annoying each and every day:

  • The first one is, that I prefer the horizontal layout (i.e. the two panels split horizontally (north and south) and not left and right (or east/west). But for some reason that option is not saved and so the first thing I always have to do when such a window opens is to switch the view from left-right to top-bottom.
PLEASE allow to safe that as user preference!

  • The Request Editor dialog (i.e. the one to prepare and send SOAP requests "manually" and analyze their response) shows THREE visual separators (aka. SplitPane-dividers, i.e. the divider elements that allow to resize the split between two parts of a panel). But only one actually allows to resize something! When hovering over the others the mouse cursor indicates, that one can grab and shift those, but one CANNOT! Dragging them with the mouse is ignored. They only serve as graphical element to separate the respective data panel from their below status line.
Only the middle divider actually has a function and allows to change the split between request and response panel! But of course when trying to change that split in horizontal mode one always first grabs the wrong one!
So, PLEASE, disable the mouse listener over those other two dividers, so the mouse doesn't indicate "moveable" any more!

  • Some Windows (and I haven't yet found a reproducible pattern behind this, yet) - when one clicks the upper right [X] to close them instead go full size, i.e. they then fill the entire right side panel. So, to close these, one first clicks on [X], they enlarge, one has to chase that [X] again and click it a second time to actually close the local sub-window. This "effect" was even worse in earlier versions and has already improved a lot in v4.5.2, but occasionally it still happens!
PLEASE make clicking [X] REALLY close that window and not first resize it!

Fixing these would safe me LOTS of mouse clicks and time!

Thanks for listening!
Michael
