SoapUI Runner's properties don't save

This may be a feature, not a bug, but it's kind of annoying.

I have a property in a SoapUI project called userID. Let's say the default value in my SoapUI project is "bob".
When I go to the soapUI Runner in LoadUI, I'd like to save the default value to pass to SoapUI as "snorri". I can run LoadUI with it set to "snorri", but if I save my project and relaunch it, it re-defaults to "bob".

Is there some way to get it to stick? Or is it a bug? Or a feature?
