SoapUI Freezes with large strings

A lot of our test cases use base64 encoded files to be sent. In some cases 3-4 MB files. If I am at the begining of this long sting and click "End" on my keyboard SoapUI will hang for minutes, sometimes 10 or more. Same thing if at the end of the line and I click "Home" on my keyboard it will hang as well.
