soapUI 3.5-beta2: JMS testing with non-SOAP payloads?

Hi,

I've tried out the JMS-testing capabilities in 3.5-beta2 and as far as I understand it requires use of WSDL (and therefore SOAP-payloads) to describe JMS-message payloads.

Is that correct?

My current need is to test JMS with XML (schema-based) payloads but there is no WSDL and no SOAP-envelope since we haven't seen the need to expose that to JMS-service producers (although we use them where we actually use webservices over HTTP).

Thanks for an excellent webservice-testing tool!

  • HI,

you don't have to use soap payloads, in fact you can use any text you want.
But since you need interface in order ta add jms endpoints by wizard you need some WSDL.
You can use our sample project to have a project and than disregard its wsdl as it is not needed for you JMS testing. Also delete soap related assertions in Assertion tab.
    This should help you going.
Don't hesitate to ask more questions.
