[R]No prompt for user/pwd when adding WSDL in 4.6.4 Mac OS X

I'm trying to add a WSDL but not having success. My environment is SoapUI 4.6.4 Build Date: 20140110-2328 on Mac OS X 10.7.5.
I paste this url in the "Add WSDL" dialog and click OK: https://mydomain/WsAccurint?ver_=1.67
Then I get a 401 error.

The 401 is expected given that no username/pwd was provided... but SoapUI should have prompted me for my username/pwd.

Same steps on soapUI 4.5.2 Build Date: 20130522-1338:
I paste the same url in the "Add WSDL" dialog and click OK.
I'm prompted with a dialog indicating "Specify Basic Authentication Credentials".

Thanks for any suggestions about working around this.

  • Hello

I'm encountering the same issue with SoapUI 4.6.4 on MS Windows 7.

An http basic authentication is needed to retrieve the wsdl, but SoapUI neither prompt for username/password nor take into account the username:password@ i include into the URL (as in http://john_do:password@hostname/service.wsdl)

As a consequence I can't update definition or add wsdl, I get this message instead:
Error loading [http://hostname/ws/services/AbonnementService?wsdl]: org.apache.xmlbeans.XmlException: java.io.IOException: Server returned HTTP response code: 401 for URL: http://hostname/ws/services/AbonnementService?wsdl
