Hi,I've either lost most of my cerebrum or something has changed in SoapUI Pro in 4.6.3. I need to create a new test case and I'm certain I was able to right-click the container level and select 'New Test Case...' from the context menu but now I don't see this. I can create a new Test Suite no problem but I need a test case from which to create the test suite. I've created two test cases previously so cannot fathom why I can't do it now (unless I've got selective amnesia!).I've attached a small image showing where I need to create a new test case (highlighted in red). Have had to black out the project name as this would reveal my employer to the forum and I don't believe they would approve of that.

Hi,Let me clarify. I'm trying to add a new interface (?) to the workspace. The workspace is the section that is blacked out. The part that has blue 'I' icon is what I am trying to add (like 'Accounts API' and 'Customers API' - I now need to add a new one of these). I found it very easy before in 4.6.1 and 4.6.2 but for some reason I don't seem to be able to fathom out how to do it now I've upgraded to 4.6.3.Regards.

That does not work for me. It causes the test case to be created in the Test Suite section (see the attached image highlighted in yellow - 'TestCase 4'). I need to create a new ? at the level indicated by the red arrow. I have been creating these first, then when I am happy, I have been right-clicking it and selecting 'Generate TestSuite...'. Now I cannot seem to create new ? (I don't know what they are called) at the level indicated by the red arrow. The only way I have found is to select 'New Web Test Case', which creates the new ? at the correct level but then the test I am doing is not a web test case and this does not work for me. I don't understand why I can't do this now as I have done it twice before (Accounts API and Customers API).

The attached image is what I want to achieve but I cannot rename the top level node indicated by the blue 'I' icon. I did this by selecting 'New REST Service from URI' from the right-click context menu on the work space but then cannot rename the top node. It seems that perhaps there are some context menu options missing in 4.6.3: "New Service...," and "Rename...". I am certain they were there in 4.6.1 and 4.6.2.

I forgot to add, this is not related to leaving windows open i.e. hidden modal windows etc. There are no other windows/dialogs/message boxes open when I am trying to open the Request Editor or rename the service. Closing and re-opening SoapUI Pro doesn't correct the problem either. Every time this happens I have to manually edit the three areas mentioned in my above post and then the Request Editor will open.

I'm having this same issue and I have Pro 4.6.4. We don't use endpoints on each service - we use properties at a project level. How do I create a new REST Service with no endpoint?

Hi,

If you have problems with renaming services please try do download the maintenance build, we have a fix there. You can get it from here http://www.soapui.org/Downloads/soapui- ... uilds.html

Otherwise, for your second question about creating REST service without endpoint, it is not necessary to give an endpoint. So, you can create REST services or add a new resource just by entering resource path on URI field.
