[Res] Any possibilities for storing data source in Soap proj

By "repository" do you mean some sort of source control? You can export the project which will create a zip file containing the project XML and data sources in a single file you could check in.

The downside is that no path structure is saved so you'd either have to manually re-create it or update your datasource(s).

I don't know that embedding would be possible based on how the datasource is setup.
