Hi Jasmin,
Could you please follow the instructions listed in the Improving Memory Usage article:
http://readyapi.smartbear.com/soapui/working/improving_memory_usage
They could help you avoid this behavior.

Mine (1.7) is completely freezing when I try to reload or remove a project, I tried the instructions to extend memory but no luck.
The same actions work fine with 1.5
Please help!

I tried with memory settings tuning recommended by SmartBear support but nothing helped.
I've recently submitted a bug against this issue. It turned out that this is somehow reproducible (only) with my project file. The bug/case is still opened and don't know when/if it's going to be fixed.
Till then I use this not-so-nice workaround: Don't close or remove projects from the ReadyAPI UI, but close the complete ReadyAPI UI first and then move the following couple of files from your HOME dir:
- default-soapui-workspace.xml
- soapui-settings.xml
After re-opening ReadyAPI all projects are gone and workspace is clean :)
Regards,
Jasmin

Nobody else has this issue?
@support team: any progress on this? have you tried it by yourself?
it's very a pain no being able to reload the project!

It looks like it can be reproduced with my SoapUI project file (xml). I've submitted a bug and support confirmed they're able to reproduce it. However, I don't have any info if/when they're going to fix it.
- nmraoChampion Level 3May be you can followup with support using your case id.
By the way, usually SmartBear team update on topics as well if they are aware this thread once it is addressed.
- nmraoChampion Level 3Hey ferdossi,
The following is the topic published by veronica, a UX develop from SmartBear team, who is willing to know user experiences with UI and looking for feedbac and she has shared her email as well. So, please feel free to provide your inputs and use case. Hope this helps.

I know this is old but I want to add what I found with Ready API freezing. Along with you 1.6 mostly worked and any other version didn't. In time 1.6 was freezing up.
My company has a Java Exceptions list that they update. I see an item in my Programs & Features.
If your WSDL / Endpoints are not in this list, ReadAPY will try to connect to that, and if it's not there you're company network will cause problems with Ready API app.
The directory is:
C:\Windows\Sun\Java\Deployment\Security\exception.sites
I can't just modify this simply since the company keeps it to the version I'm on.
Once I found there was another version... they switched it over and now I can use 1.9 perfectly
