Netbeans plugin breaks the classloading in the ide

I've only just tried to use the Netbeans plugin, and it seems to work, however it broke the JIRA plugin which I was already using. Looks like it has been a problem for a while but I didn't find anyone reporting it in a search of this forum.
The netbeans error log points to the problem and the solution in the referenced wiki page I think:
Will not load class org.apache.xerces.jaxp.SAXParserFactoryImpl arbitrarily from one of ModuleCL@77365d30[org.netbeans.libs.xerces] and ModuleCL@78ee8544[com.eviware.soapui.netbeans.module] starting from SystemClassLoader[540 modules]; see http://wiki.netbeans.org/DevFaqModuleCCE
