Message Content assertion does expect a certain order of elements to be consistent. Same with XPath. So if you are looking for 'Sort' functionality, it is available with XQuery assertion (http://www.soapui.org/Functional-Testin ... -assertion) or you could potentially use a Groovy script, though it'd likely be more work.
