issues of webservice performance testing using LoadUI

Hi,

I’m a user of LoadUI from Xi’an, China. So far I’ve encounter some issues about the webservice performance testing using this tool. Actually, I have some thoughts on the issue and hope you can give me professional opinion.

The server which hosted webservice is located oversea, we use LoadUI to test the performance. when we increase the request to a number the LoadUI always crashed, remote server is ok. We think the reason is our local test laptops’ ability can bear so many requests.
We record the TPS at the crash point, it will be a constant value. We can only execute the test under this point to keep the tool from crashing.
But we think like this way we couldn’t test out the TPS of the server precisely. So our solution is selecting a high-performance local laptop to do the performance testing so that the LoadUI will not crash and we can test out what we really want.

The parts marked as red are our thoughts on the issues, but we couldn’t make sure whether they are right.
We are looking forward you reply. It’s kind of urgency so could you please reply it ASAP?

Thanks,
Yuan
  • Hi!

hmm.. what do you mean by "crashed"? Does it lock up? Terminate? Any errors in the error-log files?

Also, are you running the 1.0.1 release or the latest nightly build?

    regards!
