How to use SAML Auth vs Basic Auth to call Web Service

We have a situation where our call to the web service was working good.. until the id/pw expired.. but since the original SOAP UI extraction setup we have changed over to a Novell EDirectory type LDAP authentication.  So.. we are stuck.We can't reset PW upon login due to LDAP (i think also called SAML) authenticaion taking over.  So we want to tell our SOAP UI Project to use what we call our Global Pass ID.. not the primary system ID (Workday HR system).  Any guidence would help.
