How to post via media type

hmm.. I'm not sure what you mean here; have you unchecked the "POST QueryString" option and than tried to paste the xml into content field? What goes wrong after that?

I think you get my meaning.
I want to send a request to service in XML.
I hope I can just put the whole xml in the Media Type, but I can't. (I can only using xpath and Post by QueryString.)
I do uncheck the Post QueryString.

After I post the xml, it will return the following response. This means the data in the xml is not passing to the service at all.

I am using soapUI Pro 3.6.1.
For this project, it is just a couple of http request.
just new a http step

I don't understand what the server is expecting to get, it seems it's not standard SOAP. To send a POST request with an XML body, you simply paste the XML in the text box below the request, and make sure that the "Post QueryString" checkbox isn't checked. The Media Type should be text/xml or application/xml, since this is what you are sending, not multipart/form-data, since you are not sending form data. Regardless of what the server expects to get, you can view the actual content that was sent by soapUI by looking at the Raw tab after sending the request, if you follow the steps I listed, the request should look something like this:

It's hard for us to help you as you are not using a well known standard, so I cannot know what exactly your server is expecting to get. Since you were able to make it work when sending the data as a bunch of parameters, you can use that to create a valid request. Once you send it, switch to the Raw tab, and look at the body part of the request. You should be able to copy this and paste it in the lower half of the request tab to generate the same request.

You need to check the "Post QueryString" checkbox if you want soapUI to use the parameters as form fields instead of a standard URL query string.
