Hi Rinze,

 

I have referred to our Customer Care team, and they have provided me with this info:

 

- Starting from 2.2.0, JMS support no longer requires Hermes.

- Starting from ReadyAPI 2.3.0, the HermesJMS installer is no longer bundled with the ReadyAPI installation package.

 

So, they recommend that you use the manual configuration of JMS:

If it doesn't suit you, you can install HermesJMS manually: https://support.smartbear.com/readyapi/docs/testing/jms/hermes/install.html

    Hi Olga_T,

     

    I know that the new ReadyAPI has its own JMS implementation. Though I would not expect the update to remove what I already had installed and configured and working.

     

    The new JMS implementation does not work for us, so we need HermesJMS.

    Our HermesJMS implementation works just fine in 2.1 and previous versions.

    But in 2.3 and 2.4 HermesJMS does not even start up after installation!

     

    Overall it costed me half a day to upgrade and then downgrade and reinstall and reconfigure everything...

     

    Did anyone test whether the old HermesJMS still works?

      Hi Rinze,

       

      The Customer Care team said that, when you upgrade to the new version, the previous installation of ReadyAPI is removed. So, you can install a newer version of ReadyAPI in a separate location. It's OK to have several versions of ReadyAPI installed on the same machine.

       

      If you have issues with HermesJMS in ReadyAPI 2.4, please open a new support case here: https://support.smartbear.com/message/?prod=ReadyAPI and provide the details which will help troubleshoot the issue: logs, your project, screenshots, etc.

       

      You can still use HermesJMS in ReadyAPI 2.4 and it should work fine.
