commas being inserted into generated numeric values

I have a Data Gen step defined as a number value that steps up by 1 from 1000000 to 9999999. When I click on the Set Value button, as well as when the step fires during a test, SOAPUI inserts commas - instead of 1000001, I get 1,000,001. This item is used for a primary key and the SQL on the other end blows up because of those commas. I have searched and searched for some kind of global setting that would control this, but to no avail. How can I turn off this behavior? Attaching a shot showing how it's set up.

    Alright...radio silence here, and also from the formal support request I submitted on the same issue. Is anyone home?
