Assertion related to french characters gets failed

I'm sorry you had this issue. Please do the following configuration change on your installation.
1. Open in Notepad either of these files that you will find in the "bin" directory of your installation of SoapUI: ""soapUI-Pro-5.0.0.vmoptions".
2. Add the following line to the end of the file:

-Dfile.encoding=UTF8
3. Save the file and restart SoapUI Pro

Can you also provide screenshots, error log and print the content of the variable LocaleName in log.info?
