Any hardware recommendations for those who are using SoapUI NG Pro with VPN?

    Hardware requirements heavily depend on what tests you plan to be running. Here is what we consider a "recommended" configuration. Note that if you run heavy tests you would want more RAM and/or a better processor, especially so if you plan on running load tests.

     

    • Intel Core i5 or i7 (the 3rd generation or later) or an equivalent AMD processor.

    • 6 GB of RAM or more. At least 1 GB of free RAM is required to start Ready! API.

    • 64-bit operating system.

    While i3 processors are suboptimal, they should be capable of running your tests. If you are running out of memory, getting more RAM should be your first priority.

  • Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4260U CPU @ 1.40GHz (4 CPUs)
  • Memory: 4096MB RAM
  • Operating System: Windows 10 Home 64-bit

 

Our IT guy already tried adding RAM on the i3 machines but performance during test runs remained the same so I bootcamp my MacbookAir. Unfortunately, I can't add RAM anymore, only Macbook Pro memories can be upgraded. I was told that this model's memory is directly connected to the board, not PNP. Will take note of these when I get another unit. Thanks :smileyhappy:
