Hi Michael,
Thank you for the detailed steps.
After following all the said steps, I am facing two problems,
1. When i open TestAgent , i donot get the Administrator settings Button to enter class paths( find the screenshot as attached)
2.When i run the test in QAComplete it fails due to reason , Run status will be awaiting Run for long time
Step 1:Searching for the test runner (JUnit (Selenium)) on the test host. fails with result "JUnit (Selenium) was not found on the host."
Could you please help in what i am missing.
Thanks and regards
Hemanth
Hamanth,
I think you may have installed/downloaded an older version of the Test Agent.
If you re-download the agent from within the QAComplete, you should end up installing the most current version.
Here is a direct link to the latest available agent:
http://downloads.smartbear.com/TestAgent10V2.exe
Uninstall the Test Agent from Add/Remove programs, clean out the directory where the agent was installed, then download this version of the agent, install, configure and retest. Let me know if this version includes the Advanced button we are expecting to see.
Thanks,
Michael

Thank you Michael,
I am now able to see the advanced settings in testagent settings.
Now its the different problem.
i tried to excute my test on ide --it works fine
i tried to excute my test from commad promt --it works fine
i have now created the test in test library and under automation i created the new automation test in QAComplete
But when i run , it just stops awaiting run...and shows "Downloading the test project to the host."- failed(Download failed.)
Configuration i have created -with name LOCAL1 and saved..
Then when i created the test i just linked this configuration to it..
So when i run the test i get to select this configuration...When i select LOCAL1 and run ..it simply waits awaiting run and does nothing..
when i run , it just stops awaiting run...and shows "Downloading the test project to the host."- failed(Download failed.)
could you help me in identifying the problem..(screenshot in attached doc)

Thank You Michael;
Its work fine.I tried same using testNg as well..
And it works absolutely fine..
Could you please clarify us on below:
1. Is it possible to run the testng suite ?
I have created a testng suite with "n" number of java classes in it
How can i execute such suite.xml in QA complete because in Automation, i see its mandatory to mention Test Class.
Can i execute directly testng suite.xml without mentioning all the classes in it in Automation (cumbersome).
2. Do i get a provision to run Ant build .xml which we have created in our project framework configured with all required listeners ?
regards

Hi Hemanth/Michael,
Could you please elaborate on how you had resolved on the issue mentioned here as i do as well face the same while trying to run a testng automated script from QA Complete
It works fine when tried to excute on ide and from commad promt. However on trying to run from QA Complete (created test in test library and configured to run from the host with test agent installed) it just stops in awaiting run status and shows "Downloading the test project to the host."- failed(Download failed.)
Could you please help me resolve the issue
Thanks
