Discussion forums can really help you quickly get questions answered and keep track of the conversation. And it's all searchable!

For example, if you are working on a software release, you might consider adding a Discussion Forum for the Release (e.g. Widgets Release 1.0). As people have questions about specific requirements of the release, they can post the question to the discussion forum. Then who ever knows the answer can chime in with their response, and everyone on the team gets to see the answer.

You might also consider having your team members post their daily status and an overview of the code changes for the day. By doing this, everyone knows what the other is working on and if thecode modules are outlined in the posting, it might alert team members about code that they may be working on in the coming days
