LoadNinja is intended primarily for the load testing through the UI (i.e. for web application running in the browser).
For UI-less API testing I would recommend to consider ReadyAPI Test and ReadyAPI Performance (former SoapUI and LoadUI) - https://smartbear.com/product/ready-api/features/
