Monitoring Content Changes

   

    When configuring Single URL Website monitors, it is possible to alert on Content Changes to the site itself.

 

      To detect a content change, the Headers are first evaluated from the page, and the value of the 'last_modified' header is compared to the last run for a change. If this header is not present, the number of bytes from the last run is compared to the prior run for a change. If a change is detected, a notification is sent based on the rules configured for the Notification Group the monitor resides in, following the rules configured for each individual Alert Recipient within that group.
