Large Scale DDoS Attack on U.S. Sites

At mid-day EDT today, a large-scale distributed denial of service attack (DDoS) against the Internet performance company Dyn led to outages at many popular internet sites.  We have observed an increase in DNS and timeout errors across our customer base that is likely the result of the impacts of this attack – unusual DNS errors and timeouts on your monitors may be due to this attack. 

 

We will continue to monitor the situation and will provide additional updates if necessary.
