Possible to set a custom test step field to use Wiki Markup?

We created custom Zephyr Test Steps fields of Given, When, Then to conform to our BDD testing.  In Zephyr Squad for Jira Server, they functioned as Wiki Markup Fields, but when we moved to Jira Cloud, the data is there in the Custom Fields, but no Wiki Markup rendering.  Now all our Wiki Markup Fields look like crap, filled with | etc.. I saw no way to enable this, anyone know any different? 

I have had many problems with the Zephyr Squad Cloud, both in the migration and with performance in Cloud, this is just another disappointing step backward for our team.
