Stop SOAPUI from stripping whitespace from elements in response

SoapUI is stripping whitespace out of the response elements...for example:

  ksjflsdjsldfjslfjsd

displays as ksjflsdjsldfjslfjsd in the responses, even though it is being sent back with the whitespace (other clients see the whitespace, SOAPUI is definitely stripping it).

Is there a way to control this behavior and preserve the whitespace?

    Does anyone was able to solve this issue?
    I'm facing the same problem.. as from specification, XML formatting ini SOAPUi does not preserve spaces, but I'm looking for a way to preserve them.

    please , any help or trick would be really helpful
