SoapUI Pro - wrong response editor behavior??

Hello forum members,

I just started experimenting with SoapUI's web service mocking capabilities.  I successfully created a mock service from a complex WSDL/XSD, but am having trouble editing the response.

The response schema has a "choice" of 2 elements.  When I switch to Form view and edit the element selected by default in the "Select Content" drop-down, everything works fine, however, if I change the drop-down selection, and start adding items and populating them, none of the values get saved.  After I switch back to XML view, or simply close the editor and re-open it, newly added items are gone, and all the fields are blank.  The XML view, which originally contained the "full" response template, now only contains the "You have a CHOICE of the next 2 items at this level" comment.

Is this a known issue?  Or am I missing something?

    Hi Ole,

    I'm using SoapUI Pro 3.0.1 (trial, to see if the tool suits our needs).  More info: Build soapui-pro-3.0-dist-101-2009-08-09, Build Date 2009/08/09 20:12.

    Being able to use the Form view is important, since users will be editing responses generated from large schemas.  If this is a defect, within what timeframe could we expect it to be resolved?

    Hi Ole,

    Thanks for getting back to me.  I uninstalled SoapUI Pro and installed the nightly build: soapUI Pro 3.0.2, Build 3.0-pro-daily-build-2010-01-15-[1], Build Date 2010/01/15 05:21.

    Unfortunately, the "choice" still doesn't work.  As soon as I switch to Form View and choose the element that wasn't selected by default, the underlying schema is lost.  So, when I enter values into the Form, the tool doesn't see them, and they don't get saved.

    Please let me know if anything can be done about it, and roughly how soon.

    This issue still exists. I'm using SOAPUI Pro 3.5
    What is the workaround? Is there a solution?

    I took the very latest build and the problem is still present.
    SOAPUI Pro 3.5.1 Built 2010/06/21.

    Hi,

    I have a very simlar problem.

    I have a very large request with many choices and on SoapUI Pro, on both XML and Form I see the comment "You have a CHOICE of the next 5 items at this level" but only the first option is appear.
    When I try to use SoapUI (not pro) this problem has gone and I saw the all options.

    Is there a version with fix to this bug? Is there any workaround to this problem?

    Hi!

    We know that the form-editor has its limitations in regard to certain xml-schema constructs, this sounds like one of them.. Can you mail us your WSDL so we can have a look at fixing this?

    The problem occurs also in the "XML" tab.
    About the wsdl, I cann't send it to you as it is secret.
