SOAPUI 5.2.1 initialization

I installed SOAPUI and it appeared as in the Getting Started (REST) - but it didn't work.  It was somehow stuck/nonresponsive. I used Task Manager to kill it, and started it new.  Now, starting a REST project doesn't provide the necessary fields, such as ENDPOINT or RESOURCE.  Is there a magic button I'm not pushing?  Right-click in the Project banner doesn't do anything.

 

The error log says it failed to load the project file  [file:/C:/Program%20Files/SmartBear/SoapUI-5.2.1/bin/]

 

What does a project file look like?  Is this the problem?  Can I download one to that folder - to get started?

    Do you mean soapui is not started in your case? Or does it have problem with specific project?

    Have you checked soapui log files?

    May be you can start it using command line. Go SOAPUI_HOME/bin directory and run soapui.bat from command line. you would be able to see logs there too.
