saving soap responses

hello
1st of all i'm totally new on SoapUI (and sorry for my english too)

when i send a request to WS SoapUI (xp sp3) crash if the response is too big.
i send request in this manner:
- right click on the Project-Request,
- show request editor
- insert the correct parameter
- submit

is there a more efficient way to do this ?
or simply to save the response instead of loading in the responde window...
