SAML 1.1 Configuration

Hi,

I have recently updated from v3.5 to 4.5.2 and have started receiving SLL handshake error with "Invalid SAML assertion". One of my colleague informed me that this is due to a bug in SOAP UI 4.5.2, because of which it is now not possible to configure SAML 1.1 at project level instead it has to be declared with every xml request. If this is true, I am not sure if it is a bug or ramification of some enhancement done. Is there a better way to configure SAML then to send it with every request?

Also if this is a bug with v 4.5.2, is this issue resolved in 4.6?

Thanks,
Sandeep

  • Hi,

This can still be configured at the project level in SoapUI. If it is not working then this is an issue.

Was there a defect filed for this? If so, do you know the defect number?

Thanks Marcus for the reply. It is not working (atleast not for v4.5.2). When configuring at project level it is giving "Invalid SAML assertion". However if the same is declared with every xml request, it works. Defect has not been filed for this. If you want I can post it in the SOAPUI Bugs section.

    Thanks,

  • Hi,

Yes, put this in the SoapUI Bugs forum and we will take a further look. Also try a newer version of SoapUI, 4.6.2 is the current release.
