Re: Executing soapUI Pro projects in free soapUI

Is it possible to create projects in soapUI Pro and execute them in free soapUI?  My project has limited budget available for licenses but has multiple test environments that we must support.  So we are looking into purchasing a couple of Pro licenses but need the projects to support a distributed development environment with ~10 instances of the test projects.

    Hi Roy,

    The command-line runners don't require a license, so you can install and run soapUI Pro tests from the command-line on as many machines as you like.
    Also if you run soapUI Pro in "courtesy mode" (ie without a license) you can run soapUI Pro projects/tests, but you wont be able to edit any pro-specific artifacts

    So basically, soapUI will load soapUI Pro projects but pro-specific artifacts will not be visible/used, so this is hardly an option unless you only use teststeps that are also in the free version.
