The command-line runners don't require a license, so you can install and run soapUI Pro tests from the command-line on as many machines as you like.
Also if you run soapUI Pro in "courtesy mode" (ie without a license) you can run soapUI Pro projects/tests, but you wont be able to edit any pro-specific artifacts
So basically, soapUI will load soapUI Pro projects but pro-specific artifacts will not be visible/used, so this is hardly an option unless you only use teststeps that are also in the free version.
