error in connecting sql server

hi
iam getting an error while connecting to sql server

the error is

com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException: The TCP/IP connection to the host has failed. java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out: connect

    Hi!

    sounds like you are not able to access the specified server; this could be due to firewall, wrong address, etc..
