A way to control the displayed width of tab characters in editable SOAPUI windows in 2022

There was question in 2009: Is there any way to control the displayed width of tab characters in editable windows such as the Request step XML editor (as the default 8 characters forced to do a lot of horizontal scrolling)?

And the answer in 2009 was: No.

So, what answer is now?
