Assumptions must be < 300 characters error; only have 229 char

I am trying to paste 229 Characters from Word into QA Complete in the Assumptions Section and receiving an error from QA complete when I try to save (see attached Screenprints).

QA complete States 3082 characters

Word states I have 229 char including spaces

Have moved the cursor through the lines (line by line) in Test complete at the end of each line carriage control returns cursor to beginning of next line and doesn’t move forward after end of last line (doesn’t appear to be spaces between lines or at end of last line).

Where are these 2853 other characters QAC thinks it has coming from?

Thought maybe Word had some hidden characters coming along, to eliminate that, placed all 5 assumptions in Notepad on one line seperated by commas, QA Complete still doesn't accept (see attachment).

If I place all of my Assumptions in notepad (so hopefully no magic hidden characters?) in one sentence separated by commas I have 196 characters (cursor at end of line shows Col 196).

When this is pasted from notepad into the Assumptions on QA Complete it becomes 417 Characters and won’t save.

Not sure where QA complete is calculating these extra 221 (more than double orginal) Characters?

      Hello McFoesch,

That is strange alright.  So whether pasting from MS Word or from Notepad, you experience the same issue?

What version are you running (# and SaaS or On-Premise)?

We are using the Web Hosted Solution.  I have found that if I import in from a xls spreadsheet (via a .csv file)

am able to get the characters in the assumptions field that are needed.
