Gherkin for Business Analysts

Hi,

I am new to this Cucumber tool and learning how to write user stories and acceptance criteria from a business analyst perspective.

i have read few documents on what BDD is and about Gherkin syntax. Can someone guide my how i can start writing my stories and what all are the pre-requisites/installations required?
