Update testrun with server REST API
I have created a testrun using the server REST API and would like to add more test cases to it. i do not see any API to modify an existing TestRun (Test Cycle) once it has been created. Is there a way to update the Test Run after it was created? /testrun has a POST API but the /testrun/{testRunKey} only has DELETE and GET
Zephyr Scale Server API Allows Duplicate Custom Field Options - UI Does Not
"Hello, I have encountered an issue with custom field options when using the Zephyr Scale Server API. Specifically, I noticed that: Through the API, I am able to add duplicate custom field options without any validation or error. Through the UI, the system correctly prevents adding duplicate options. This behavior is inconsistent between the API and the UI. Could you help with the following? Is it expected that the API allows duplicate custom field options, while the UI does not? How can I prevent duplicate options from being added when using the API? Is there any existing validation I can implement?
Update Test Result on Zephyr Scale Server
hey, we use Zephyr Scale Server and I want to not only be able to post executions/test results but also to update them via the API. How can I update a Test Result? In Zephyr Cloud and Squad there is an API for this. Why does the Zephyr Scale Server Version still have the old 1.0 API which is really outdated? TLDR;how do I update test execution status using Cypress, Cucumber, JSON and Zephyr Scale data centre edition? Some background info. We use Zephyr Scale, Data Center Edition. Our test framework is Cucumber Our automation tool is Cypress We use Cucumber for our feature files We run our automation via Gitlab. Our test cases are organised in the Cycle, and further subdivided onto folders for each country we test Our test cases in Zephyr are also just placeholders (they contain no test steps) that map 1:1 with our automated test scripts We always pass/fail the entire test case in Zephyr based on our regression test results this last step takes forever, and this is what I want to automate. In the absence of clearer documentation, I believe that this -->Annotations With Other CI Tools/Running Locally | Zephyr Scale Server/Data Center Documentation (smartbear.com)<-- solves that issue. My expectation is that once this is implemented, the test execution status is updated automatically in Zephyr Scale, based on the results of the automation and the JSON file that Cucumber outputs. Is this how this functionality works, and does anyone have experience in getting this to work that they are willing to share?
How do I filter Test Cases to Unassigned or None from the Test Cycle?
If I go into the Test Cycle and then to Test Cases there is a way to see who it is Assigned To and even to bulk assign tickets. But I can't seem to find a way to filter for Test Cases here that don't have an Assigned To option. It works fine and will filter on an actual user but there is no None option apparently. Environments as a counter-example has a None option to filter on. Zephyr Scale Datacenter 9.22.0Is there any limitations with "Call to Test" functionality?
We are planning to use call-to-test functionality in larger scope. We are using Zephyr Scale Server. I would like to know if there are any limitations: How many different call-to-test links can a single test case have ? How many different test cases can have a single test case inside ? Jira version 9.4.18 Zephyr version: 9.21.1 After upgrading to above versions, already existing gadgets are not showing, especially gadgets that shows graphs and charts. Good day, we are currently using the free trial version of Zephyr Scale as we are trying to propose its use for TM tool. Just wondering what will happen to the test cases, attachments, history and reports made and generated during the free trial version, after the free trial version date ends. Will the data still be accessible for download? This is to create a Proof Of Concept for Zephyr scale as part of our proposal. TIA
