Reminder to Update PrivateNode/InSite Remote Access Firewall Rules
Important Reminder: On Thursday, we are migrating the connection endpoint for Private Location/InSite Remote Access. Please add the following endpoint to your firewall rules: insiterepair.jupiter.alertsite.com (35.171.105.191) on TCP port 22 The existing endpoint, insiterepair.alertsite.com (209.156.160.90) will be migrated to an upgraded infrastructure at 9pm EDT on the evening of 10/18/18 (1am 10/19/18 UTC). After successful migration we will send out a follow up message informing you that you can remove the existing IP (209.156.160.90) from your firewall rules.AlertSite status page goes live on StatusPage.io

With these efforts in mind, we’re excited to announce that we have deployed an AlertSite dashboard in Statuspage.io: https://alertsite.statuspage.io This dashboard will surface the following information: The current status of the AlertSite consoles, REST APIs, and monitoring locations A history of platform incidents A history of platform maintenance notifications This new page will also serve as the platform for incident and maintenance notifications going forward. You can sign up to receive notifications directly from the page. Statuspage.io supports email, text message, webhook, and RSS/ATOM feed notification methods. All current subscribers to our existing notification distribution list have will be migrated to the new statuspage.io system. Users have the ability to opt out and/or manage their subscription at any time. Allservers on the public monitoring locationshave been patched for theMeltdown vulnerability. 3. We have begun deployment of the first patch to address the Spectre vulnerability. Hi! We are working to update the AlertSite platform against the Meltdown and Spectre CPU vulnerabilities and I have some updates to share. We have begun updating our public monitoring servers with the first OS patch, which addresses the Meltdown vulnerability. At present about a third of our public locations have been patched and we expect to be done with this patch by end of next week. This patch has also been added to the 2.1.1 version of PrivateNode Server, which is in QA now and should be released next week. Our infrastructure provider for the AlertSite SaaS platform has patched the underlying infrastructure and we will apply additional OS patches as they are released, tested and verified. Additional patches for the Spectre vulnerability are still be developed by Intel and OS vendors and will be deployed when ready. Please note we are unable to patch PrivateNode server versions prior to 2.1. If you are running these earlier versions, please reach out to your Customer Success Manager to discuss upgrade options. Dear AlertSite Customer Mozilla is making significant changes to Firefox’s extension architecture with version 57. This version is slated for a November 14 th release. The AlertSite DejaClick plugin will not work on Firefox version 57 and above. To continue using DejaClick on your computer it will be necessary to have a version of Firefox running v56 or lower. Depending on your normal use of Firefox, there are several ways to accommodate this change. 1. Turn off Automatic Updates on your current Firefox browser to keep it at v56. This can be done from the Firefox Preferences panel. In v56, Firefox Updates is in the General tab. In previous versions, Firefox Update configuration appears in the Advanced tab. 2. Download and install an earlier of version of Firefox and install alongside your auto-updating version of Firefox. If this is your preferred approach, we recommend installing Firefox v52. This version will be installed to our monitoring network in Q4 2017 allowing you to record your web transactions with the same Firefox version used for monitor playback.
